About

Hello my name is Catherine Jones and I have been a Chartered Physiotherapist for 30 years. I qualified from Nottingham School of Physiotherapy in 1991.

I have worked in both the NHS and Private sector and since 2004 I have been working solely in Private Practise. I now work purely in my home clinic in Winscombe. Before the Covid-19 Pandemic I was also working at Cheddar Medical Centre, but once the Pandemic started for the safety of my clients I decided to work purely from home where I can control the environment and minimise the risk of Covid. I have strict guidelines to follow, including thorough cleaning of my treatment room between clients, ventilation, and PPE. I offer virtual appointments during this time as well as face to face appointments. My Covid safety information is provided when your appointment is made.

I enjoy treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries. Conditions include neck and back pain, shoulder impingements, frozen shoulders, tennis and golfers elbow, wrist and hand pain, cervicogenic headaches, sacroiliac joint pain, hip problems, arthritis, knee conditions, sprained ankles, foot pain and post-operative rehabilitation.
Treatments I use include: joint mobilisations, soft tissue work, myofascial release, acupuncture and providing specific exercise programmes tailored for you.
My aim is to restore your movement and reduce your pain to allow you to move better and return to the activities you enjoy. Whether that is walking, gardening, a specific sport or just getting a good nights sleep.

As well as Physiotherapy treatments, I am also a qualified APPI Pilates Instructor. I teach regular classes in the area and also online. Its a great way of rehabilitation as well as improving your overall fitness and strength. I really enjoy teaching Pilates and seeing how it helps people move better. I feel it compliments my Physiotherapy treatments as well as keeping me strong and fit too.
