Back Pain

Back pain can have a number of causes and be felt in different areas of your back. Pain may be in the mid back (thoracic spine), lower back (lumbar spine) or pelvis. Pain may be referred into one or both legs. Other symptoms can include pins and needles, weakness and numbness.

Causes can include disc protrusions, facet joint dysfunction, sciatica, sacroiliac dysfunctions, muscle tightness and spasm and osteoarthritis.

Treatments may include joint mobilisations to hypomobile(stiff) levels, soft tissue release and myofascial techniques, massage, stretches, acupuncture and exercises to improve mobility and core strength.
